We are a mentoring and discipleship program. We provide housing, transportation, and a safety net for men who are growing in their relationship with Jesus and regaining their footing in life.

Housing

We provide a fully furnished house with including a washer and dryer. Our houses are clean and neat with no more than two members in a bedroom. We strive to make our houses a true home where you can relax after a hard day’s work. This is not just a “sober house” but a home where men are moving in the same direction spiritually.

Mentorship

One of the requirements of Gateway is that you come into this program with a teachable attitude and willingness to be mentored. You will be surrounded by pastors, business owners, and other men who have found lasting freedom from addiction. Being open to advice and instruction is a critical part of experiencing the success you are desiring and the success we want for you.

Jesus

Anyone who hangs around Gateway will notice very quickly that we are serious about our commitment to loving Jesus. We believe that in order for a man to see lasting freedom from addiction he must have a restored relationship with God and the only way we can be restored to God is through Jesus Christ and what HE did for us on the cross and in His resurrection. We are different from some programs in this conviction, but it’s because we truly believe that the heart transformation, only available through Christ, is vital in our lives.

Finances

Mentoring and accountability in the area of finances is key for a member’s long-term success. We monitor and help you manage your finances when you first get here. This added layer of accountability and financial coaching will help prepare you for life beyond our program.

Transportation

We provide help with your transportation needs: from bringing you to where you need to go, to arranging rides for you, to assisting you in getting your license back. Eventually you will be able to use a Gateway car that our supporters have so generously given to the program.

Positive Community

You have probably heard it said, “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future.” The Bible says it a little differently: “Bad company corrupts good people.” The reality is that you are who you hang out with. Here at Gateway, we put a lot of emphasis on who you associate with. Flirting with the old life and crowd is a dangerous place to be in. At Gateway, we strive to maintain a safe and supportive environment for our members because it is of utmost importance for lasting recovery.

A mesage from the Gateway Staff

One important thing that gets overlooked is what the apostle Paul calls “pressing on” in Philippians 4:13. It’s a reality that there is a reward coming, a prize to be obtained. In athletics, all we see is the winner performing at their highest potential and standing on the podium as they accept their trophy. However, what we don’t see is all the early morning runs, all the days in the weight room, all the food prep, all of the ups and downs and mistakes made along the way, and all the sacrifice that goes into being a champion. It's called investing in yourself. You choose to spend your time, money, and talents now in a way that will yield a greater return in the future.
At Gateway the greater return is a future free from addiction and filled with purpose.
