About Us

Located in Kalispell, Montana, Gateway of Hope is a mentoring and discipleship program for men that have completed a drug or alcohol inpatient rehab program. We provide housing, transportation, financial training, and a safety net for men who are growing in their relationship with Jesus and regaining their footing in life.

Gateway provides a fully furnished and safe house for the men in our program. We assist in transporting men to work, groups, church, the grocery store, and the gym. We also provide focused mentorship and financial training with a graduated financial program. Those are the tangible elements of our program. The intangible elements are at the core of our mission and purpose. Our desire is for those in our program to grow spiritually, find lasting freedom from drugs and alcohol, and be propelled into a purpose-filled life that fulfills the unique calling God has placed on every man that walks through our doors.

A message from the President of The Gateway of Hope

A recovering addict myself, God brought me to Montana in 2004 and delivered me from my addiction to meth. It only seemed natural for God to call me back to serve men who are in the same place I was in 19 years ago. In 2019, God challenged me to step out into the areas of discipleship, housing, and employment, and in 2021 I partnered up with Absolute Ministries to bring their program to Kalispell. Through the ups and downs of the next couple of years we realized that the Flathead Valley needed an organization that was tailored to the unique needs of our area. We decided to separate from Absolute in 2023 and rebrand under The Gateway of Hope. This name is from Hosea 2:15 and really says what we believe. Jesus is the gateway and we believe that by placing our hope and trust in him and living for him we will be able to make sense of our past and by his power step into a new life–no longer a slave to drugs and alcohol but instead a son of God.
